Kingfisher Leisure & Workwear are leading suppliers of embroidered workwear and printed promotional clothing. They are a service driven company which offers personalised workwear, office uniforms, corporate clothing, promotional clothing and leisurewear. It is a full e-commerce system with shopping basket and multi-buy functionality.

It also serves as a full Order Management system with an integrated enquiry response handler and a custom built blog engine specifically tailored for their clients’ needs. Through this system, orders are received, processed, and logged.

The system integrates with a payment gateway known as ‘secure trading’ and provides a full online shopping experience to customers. In addition it also allows for companies to liaise with Kingfisher and customise a catalogue with negotiated pricing and limited garments relevant to their business. Through this mechanism, the customer can then supply links to people they work with who will be able to see their companies specific catalogue.

Within the site a customer can search based on Industry, Product Type, Brand or even a specific Product Code. There is even a ‘Budget’ section where discounted products are available.

As you can customise garments and customised garments are non-refundable, the site offers a ‘sample service’ form, where you can request a sample garment to decide if you wish to go ahead with the purchase. This is treated in the order system as a marked type of order and helps to generate additional custom with users in the long run.

The system includes a complex catalogue and pricing management engine that allows the creation of client specific sets of products and pricing. Kingfisher Leisurewear staff can manage all aspects of the site using the administration tools built for them.

Cergis worked with the Kingfisher Leisurewear team to help develop a user journey and then design the system architecture before development commenced. Built using the Cergis in-house content management system we were able to add all the bespoke functionality required.

The system has been running for a number of years now and has been updated numerous times to reflect the ever changing business requirement.
