Meyer Timber is a national timber supplier based in the UK - offering a wide range of timber products. Cergis have been working with Meyer Timber for a number of years and have produced content managed web sites for a number of companies in the group.

After working on their content managed web site for a number of years they decided the time was right to publish their product catalogue online. Cergis worked to the Meyer Timber supplied designs to build the content managed web site.

Due to the fast changing prices of timber creating a simple content management system was not suitable. Cergis liaised with the Meyer Timber IT team to access the data from their internal systems and automatically update the web site pricing once a day.

This was done by allowing the Meyer Timber development team to have access to one of the databases on the web server and push the pricing data to the web.
Cergis then created a web based interface for browsing the product database.

To make the vast quantity of data easy to navigate Cergis produced an advanced product search that pinpoints specific products in seconds.
